HOW TO FILE A MOTOR INSURANCE CLAIM ?

For CashLess Claims:

Detailed description of steps:
Note the number of the other vehicle involved in the accident, if any.

  1. Note down the names and contact details of witnesses, if any.
  2. Contact company (as given in policy document) and get your claim number / reference number.
  3. The Call Centre Representative will provide you with the details of the documents required for claim processing and also details of our preferred cashless garage near you.
  4. File an FIR at the nearest police station in case of property damage, bodily injury and theft.
  5. Company Customer Service Manager (CSM) will contact you within 24 hours of registering the claim.
  6. Submit all the required documents to the dealer / CSM and get them verified with the originals.
  7. Company CSM will get the estimate for the repairs of your vehicle and give spot approval after assessment.
  8. Payments that need to borne by company at companies preferred garage will be made directly to the garage on completion of the repairs.
  9. The balance amount will have to be paid by the insured as per the terms and conditions of the policy, which will be informed by the CSM.

 For Reimbursement Based Claims:

  1. Note down the names and contact details of witnesses, if any.
  2. Contact company (as given in policy document) and get your claim number / reference number.
  3. The Call Centre Representative will provide you with the details of the documents required for claim processing and also details of our preferred cashless garage near you.
  4. File an FIR at the nearest police station in case of property damage, bodily injury and theft.

  7. Company will initiate the claim process.
  8. Company will reimburse the approved claim amount directly to the customer.

 Tips for speedy settlement
-Inform the insurer on the toll-free number

-Mention the claim number or the policy number in all correspondences.

-Carry your health card, ID proof and KYC documents to the hospital

-In case of reimbursement claims, make a preauthorisation request in advance
